INSERVCO ANNOUNCES ITS NEW VISION INSPECTION
TECHNOLOGY SYSTEM ACQUISITION

LaGrange, Ohio.  Inservco, Inc. announces that it has acquired a new Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) System.  The new AOI system will allow Inservco to develop in-process inspection of surface mount components (determining presence and absence of placed components), verify solder joints, define component polarity, optical characteristic verification, and several additional features that will help provide our customers with the best possible quality using the latest technology.

The AOI system's enhanced capabilities are performed with an extremely low false failure rate (less than 100 ppm), this system is capable of inspecting up to 200,000 components per hour, greatly boosting both the speed and quality in which the assemblies are inspected. The Vision Inspection System is specially designed for higher density boards with small components. This flexible system can be placed at any location throughout the line ensuring high accuracy and good repeatability on the critical points during the process. This acquisition is a great element for a low to medium volume company as Inservco is. In addition, it is an important asset in the evaluation process that Inservco is currently undergoing to begin the implementation of lead-free alternatives in 2005.

Inservco’s high quality services and products have been developed through its Customer Focus Team, Inservco Continuous Improvement Teams, and Inservco Metrics group. Together, with the investment in equipment and training, is a clear indication that Inservco will continue working towards achieving its customer quality requirements and striving for higher levels of customer satisfaction in the EMS industry.
