INSERVCO ANNOUNCES THAT IT HAS THE PROCESSES IN PLACE TO
MANUFACTURE LEAD-FREE ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLIES

LaGrange, Ohio.  Inservco, Inc. has launched its lead-free initiative to manufacture electronic assemblies to comply with the EU legislation of Reduction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) that goes into effect July 1, 2006. The legislation mandates that, with a few exceptions, new electrical and electronic equipment must not contain lead or five other hazardous substances. The purpose of the new directive is to protect health and the environment by restricting hazardous materials that could eventually end up in landfills.

Inservco, a leading manufacturer of complex printed board assemblies (PCBAs), must deal with many conflicting priorities to be successful and profitable. Manufacturers must invest in the capital equipment necessary to build product to meet the demands of a global market. Inservco has invested in the capital equipment necessary to manufacture electronic assemblies using a lead-free process that complies with the European RoHS directive. To ensure a quality lead-free production, Inservco added a Heller 11-zone reflow oven, Tyco Harmony Selective Soldering System™ and an Agilent 3070 in-circuit test system to its manufacturing process.

Inservco's high quality services and products have been developed through its Customer Focus Teams and Continuous Improvement Teams, implementing several Lean Initiatives. Investment in equipment and training are clear indicators that Inservco will continue working towards achieving its customers' quality requirements and making strides for higher levels of customer satisfaction in the EMS industry.
